Shop to Support

  • Our markets are about more than just shopping. They are all about making a real difference in the lives of children and families who need it most. We are honored to support The WARM Place, a nonprofit organization based in Fort Worth that provides a loving, supportive environment for children grieving the loss of a loved one.

They provide year-round, no-cost peer support groups, family events, and community resources in a safe, compassionate environment where grief can be expressed, shared, and understood.

This mission is deeply personal to us because Katie, our Operations Director, went through The WARM Place program after losing her father as a teen. Their support helped her navigate one of the hardest times in her life, giving her a space to express her grief, connect with others, and find comfort. Now, we have the opportunity to give back to this incredible organization that gave so much to her.

  • When I was just 16, I lost my father in a tragic accident. Nothing prepares a child for that kind of grief. I remember feeling completely lost, unsure of how to move forward, what people would say, or how I’d be treated at school. The world suddenly felt unfamiliar and heavy.

A family friend introduced us to The WARM Place, and from the moment we walked through those doors, something changed. My younger sister was only 8 at the time, and my mom was doing everything she could to help us cope. Even with the love of our family and friends, it was hard to talk to people who hadn’t experienced what we were going through.

At The WARM Place, I found a safe space, an environment where I wasn’t alone. I was surrounded by other teens who understood. We all came from different backgrounds, but we shared a common bond: we had lost a parent.

Through group sessions tailored by age, we were encouraged to talk, listen, cry, laugh, and most importantly, heal. The lessons I learned at The WARM Place have stayed with me ever since. It taught me how to process grief, how to live with loss, and how to help others do the same.

Now, years later, I’m honored not only to support this amazing organization through my work, but also to give back in a hands-on way. Today, I serve as a Volunteer Facilitator and as the Communications Coordinator for The WARM Place, roles that allow me to pour into others the same compassion and support that once lifted me.

As we head into the holiday season, a time of giving, gratitude, and reflection, I invite you to remember the children who are walking through grief right now. Children like I once was.

Your support of The WARM Place changes lives. I know this because it changed mine. Please consider shopping with us, donating, volunteering, or simply sharing their mission. Together, we can make sure no child has to grieve alone.

    With Love & Appreciation,

Local businesses generously donate amazing items and experiences, and every penny raised goes directly to The WARM Place.
